Using🧠conditional mutant 🐭 during #embryonic or #postnatal stages, we found that #Sox5 is required to restrict first entry in #quiescence in #neuralstemcells of #hippocampus. Further, we found a critical window around P14 when NSCs build up a shallow or primed quiescent state.
