Do you know what MM 2 & 3 have to do with Sex Pistols?
Norma Moriceau (costume designer) experienced the birth of Punk fashion by shooting ad photos of 'protopunk' clothes designed by Malcolm McLaren. He became the manager of Sex Pistols. Norma filmed their earliest rehearsals.

I find the Kinks to be ProtoPunk.

So many of their 3 chord songs sound like blueprints for late 70s punk.

That said, I feel like people who don’t pick The Dead Kennedys, The Sex Pistols, or Blag Flag, as the best “true” punk bands of all time, simply think it’s punk not to.

Maravillosamente a contracorriente.
