Between 2019 and 2023, statewide turnout in Kentucky was down 8%. However, Monroe County was 20% up from 2019.

The culprit? A Wet/Dry referendum to legalize liquor sales. The fight generated major debate/campaigns within the community.

A large batch of pro-life Beshear precincts in the coal fields, with many suburban/exurban pro-choice Cameron precincts

Another way to look at the Kentucky Governor result is by population density.

While Cameron won more land, much of his wins were in low-populated mountain and rural communities. Almost every city saw clusters of Beshear wins, with only a few dense Cameron areas

Here is #Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear's executive order mirroring the #CROWNAct , which failed to come out of the Republican-controlled legislature.
