#OTD in 1553, following his conviction for treason on 18 Aug, #JohnDudley was taken from the #TowerofLondon to #TowerHill and executed by beheading infront of approx 10,000 people. His body was then returned to the Tower, and interred in the chapel of St Peter ad Vincula. #tudors
