Oxalic acid, when ingested, can bind with calcium to form calcium oxalate, which is insoluble. This binding removes free calcium from the blood, potentially leading to hypocalcemia, which could explain the positive Chvostek's sign. Oxalic acid causes burns to the oral mucosa.

Muhammad Mohsin Journal of Brown Hospital Medicine Age and urinary symptoms suggest prostate cancer
But hypocalcemia and hypertension suggest Renal failure..
ريان | MD1TALK🌟 HCThaiazide is drug of choice for idiopathic hypercalcuria(commonest cause of renal stone former) and also given for chron8c hypocalcemia e.g.HPT,
Also paradoxical effect rx of nephrogenic DI.
Muhammad Mohsin If the PSA levels are through the roof, I’d also order a bone scan or a PET/CT.
Hypocalcemia could be due to osteoblastic metastatic bone spread.
