Watching #takecareofmaya … mom being “demanding” when her CRPS flared up… and the hospital had no clue how to deal with it. She’s clearly trying to tell you what her daughter needs.

I highly recommend this documentary for anyone who studies or treats pain. Tragic and heartbreaking. And the hospital experience all too common for people suffering from chronic pain. Also a severe indictment of the US healthcare and judicial systems. #TakeCareOfMaya #CRPS

Just finished watching Take Care of Maya…first off as a person with CRPS…fuck you John Hopkins. Secondly…as a human…fuck you John Hopkins. May the Kowalski family find what peace they can. I can’t imagine the nightmare they’ve been through and continue to endure.

I love that hand therapists and surgeons ask my help all week. This was NOT #CRPS in my assessment as dysfunction and pain ONLY in dislocated fingers. SO digital nerve blocks and GENTLE YET FIRM (albeit painful) pressure et voilà!

chris evans The biggest shocker was that the hospital billed insurance for the CRPS all while continuing to deny she had it!! THAT made me furious bc it solidified they simply did this to get at her mom, Beata. This documentary infuriated me.
