Whilst often on opposite sides of a news story we remained good pals. It is a great testament to Charlie’s character that he only really collected friends not enemies. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

A few years ago I worked on a doc for RTÉ on #stardust with the late and great #CharlieBird . It was an extraordinary experience having the honour of sitting with those families, hearing their stories. Hopefully tomorrow will bring them the justice denied them for 50 years.
