That’s me pointing to #basaltic pillow #lavas preserved in #lawsonite #blueschist which has been #metamorphosed at ~130km depth. Almost unbelievable that the structure has remained intact, despite being completely recrystallised. Still a wee bit unconvinced… Durham Earth Science
