Was sat on the bathboard & had the showerhead pointing at my legs. Could feel the hot water on parts of my legs/feet but couldn't feel the water. In other places I could feel water hitting me but not the heat. Partial #paralysis is weird!

If it’s any comfort, I found having a bathboard (and other aids like a perch stool in the kitchen) to be a huge help with fatigue, muscle weakness and orthostatic intolerance. Every spoon saved is worth it.

Joanna No Banana Showering because of chronic pain & physical disability, and the fact that my landlord won’t agree to a wet room being installed. I have to pull myself up onto a bathboard and sit on that whilst showering over the bath. It’s painful, & dangerous. I’ve slipped into the bath twice

Sarah Colwell @Depheruk They come to your home but they don’t fund. I have terminal breast cancer and paid for all my stuff. I’m lucky to be dying at 55 so have cashed-in a pension to fund the bathboard, stick, wheelchair and a new boiler.
