Conclusion

EIP-4444 upgrade is probably gonna take a while before it's up and running. It's still in its early stages, and there's a ton of talk happening about it.

To tackle this concern , vitalik.eth proposed EIP-4444 - solution known as node pruning.

This will allow nodes to ditch the old stuff, making it easier for more people to run nodes and participate in the network and enhance the scalability.

But here’s a catch ALL the old data (called archival nodes) would be gone. This could lead to less access to old data, pushing people towards centralized providers for it.
