Newark Air Museum My late next-door (but 1) neighbour made fairings and scoop for the in-flight air intake on VZ608 - I've probably bored everybody with that fact a million times! He was another legend who loved his visit & seeing the aircraft again.
Lest We Forget ❤ xx

My favourite museum piece No.1: Gloster Meteor VZ608 VTOL testbed (Newark Air Museum) hushkit.net/2020/05/12/my-… ハリアーの開発ストリーの中では、TMRとかSC.1はよく取り上げられますが、ミーティアを改造したテストベッドの話はあまり読んだ記憶が無いカモ。

Newark Air Museum A quick peek in Air Britan's 'RAF Aircraft SA100-VZ999' shows that Meteor VZ608 was in a batch of 35 serials all allocated to FR.9 variants. Vz728 was in a batch of four serials allotted to trials and prototype aircraft.
