Trans fats raise LDL (bad) cholesterol and they lower HDL (good) cholesterol. High LDL along with low HDL levels can cause cholesterol to build up in blood vessels. This increases the risk for heart disease and consequently increased death rate.

Eliminating industrially produced Transfats is not complicated , especially now that there is “REPLACE”, a technical package by #WHO that can be utilized by countries to develop effective strategies for eliminating Transfats. Action NOW!
