Young Invincibles The pandemic changed a lot about the decisions made by young adults. It add an additional layer of stress for everyone causing young adults to loss themselves in several ways mentally. The struggle for young adults to just exist #TodaysVoicesTues
Young Invincibles Prioritize REST! Rest and pleasure is our birthright. It is not something we earn after doing hard work. Rest allows us to remember our basic humanity, that we are enough. This is the first step I’d recommend #TodaysVoicesTues
Young Invincibles Great question! One’s health does not remain the same throughout our lifetime. As we age, we need to treat our bodies differently and having health insurance helps to identify our health needs earlier rather than later! #TodaysVoicesTues
A9: A common barrier to graduation is not having available classes or adequate academic guidance. With more full time faculty, fairly paid adjuncts, & a more robust staff of advisors, students will feel supported, empowered, & will more likely graduate on time. #TodaysVoicesTues
Young Invincibles The ACA allowed young adults to stay on their parent's insurance until age 26! #TodaysVoicesTues
A10: Shout out to Young Invincibles- #StudentMentalHealth at #CUNY is incredibly important, & we all appreciate the resources you provided in recent weeks. We also love our close allies at the PSC_CUNY, @YDSA_NYC, USS CUNY, NYPIRG, @SwipeOutHunger, & uAspire. #TodaysVoicesTues
Q6: Who is supporting young adult preventive health including getting up to date on recommended vaccines? #TodaysVoicesTues
Organizations like Teens for Vaccines support young adults on social media by sharing accurate vaccine information. American Academy of Pediatrics and AAFP have resources to help young adults find accurate information about vaccines and other health topics. #TodaysVoicesTues
A8: Thousands of students face food, housing, & job insecurity, + a majority of students have extensive trauma from facing racial & economic prejudice throughout their lives. A $1B investment would allow for mental & emotional healing to be part of education. #TodaysVoicesTues
