With less than a week to go before #Stanza24 , we were all saddened that one of our guests from Morocco was refused a UK visa. I was very much looking forward to sharing Soukaina Habiballah's powerful piece with our audience.

Kevin Mclean and I had a fantastic time running our workshop & the I Am Loud Productions Slam - plus it was wonderful to catch up with pals & see some brilliant performances.

There was so much incredible poetry, but my highlight was Hannah Lavery & Marjorie Lotfi's performance. I was profoundly moved by its direct, stirring exploration of where we come from - with all the violence & tenderness that question implies. A searing, needed gut punch. #StAnza24
