One thing I really l love about Ethan Peck’s performance as Spock on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is that he pronounces shit the way Leonard Nimoy did. I think that’s a nice attention to canon nobody else has. Bro clearly was watching the Original Series and I love him for that

If Spock is constantly emotional then the uniqueness of him struggling with emotion is gone. He cries more than anyone on this show. They only pay lipservice to the idea of Spock, without revealing it in character action.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S2 has just started and well, this adds a new layer to the events of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.

spock isn’t like other vulcans but not in the way modern trek seems to think. he isn’t not like other vulcans bc there’s something fundamentally different about him vs other vulcans it’s bc other vulcans *treat him that way* bc his mother is human

this is my favourite scene in the entire season. pike, on the brink of tears, struggling to get his words out but defiantly needing to let spock know what he means to him. spock, barely letting him finish before reciprocating. calling him chris. pike's tiny smile after.

Spock and Chapel have absolutely no chemistry like whether or not queer spock is ever confirmed/real is whatever, they just have NO fuckin chemistry its like watching paint dry.
