Today, FTC voted to ban non-compete clauses as an unfair method of competition. This prohibits employers from utilizing non-compete agreements with workers. STS has been a vocal advocate for this change since last March.

CMS is proposing the Transforming Episode Accountability Model (TEAM), a new mandatory alternative payment model. TEAM would initially focus on CABG procedures.

#STSAdvocacy is reviewing the model and will provide feedback to CMSGov on behalf of thoracic surgery.
