#OnThisDay , President Kennedy signed the executive order creating the Peace Corps in 1961. In 1998, the first Peace Corps Day was held, & 6,600 RPCVs shared their service w/ over 320,000 U.S. students, firmly established Peace Corps Week as an annual event. Happy #PeaceCorpsDay !

Last week 44 Vols from the 2017 HEAG Cohort completed their COS Conference. The capstone event was a Speed Networking event with RPCVs living & working in K’la. The RPCVs shared insights & counseled them on transition, career planning, networking & adjusting 2 life after service.

Today is the last day of #PeaceCorpsWeek and we’re grateful for everyone who celebrated our 60th anniversary with us! Thanks to our counterparts, RPCVs, partners, posts, and others who shared amazing images, stories, and videos all week long!
