In 2010, Queen Elizabeth II attended the Royal Canadian Navy’s 100th Anniversary in Nova Scotia. The Queen was piped aboard HMCS St. John’s & given a royal salute, from there she inspected dozens of Canadian & foreign warships anchored in Halifax harbour. ⚓️🇨🇦

#dyk that the Halifax dockyard was established in 1759? From its inception, generations of Canadians have worked there. These ID badges are from two unknown civilian workers. Like in the past, the civilian dockyard workers of today are an integral part of #RCNavy operations.
