1980s backdrop story. Kanna Ravi & Kumaravel perf gud. Top notch Dialogues. Gud Visuals. Bold content. Decent Making. Intention is gud, But Narration is not gripping. Has a powerful start & end but middle portions r not so exciting. AVERAGE!
Directors Maniratnam, Bala, and Vetrimaaran asked Jeyamohan for the rights to this story (Kaithigal) to make it into a film. But director Rafiq Ismail asked permission from Jeyamohan before them, so he denied it.
