Did you know the state of Texas needs to add $14.5 billion to the budget for just to make up for inflation since 2019? They’ve only added $7.4 billion. That doesn’t fulfill the promise made in 2019. Now’s the time to call your legislators.

IMO - It’s the majority of the GOP leadership of the state of Texas that has used propaganda to diminish the public’s trust in PubEd & educators. That’s the main reason, why I rarely vote for a GOP candidate. The GOP has controlled TX governance for almost 30 years.

Scott Braddock Who needs Yellowstone or GoT when you have 1100 Congress?! I hope they remember at some point that people's livelihoods are on the line. @TXLege, you have the surplus. A good portion of it is PubEd recapture money. Thou shall not steal.

So disappointed in my state. Saddened that and our governor have spent the past 2 yrs lying about a profession that I devoted my life too, a profession that cares for the majority of TX kids.

I've told our story several different ways. I acknowledge we don't all agree on certain facets of PubEd. But I & many other conservatives aren't ready to abandon our schools. I'm praying for divine guidance to intervene & show us the way. It has been quite the battle.

IMO - I believe u & others will be disappointed w/ the results of the current legislators! Instead of hope & prayers, voting against the GOP candidates would have been more productive for educators & supporters of PubEd!

The strength of a unified voice has been in display this legislative session like no other. Now to use it in the next election and kick state politicians who want to harm PubEd to the curb. PubEd folks, the fight starts now, not on Election Day. Spread the word now!

Texas Senate leadership is actively killing:
- Teacher raises
- Additional school funding
- Special education funding
And all for school vouchers, which still won't pass this session anyway

What does the TXGOP think is going to happen when they defund constitutionally protected PubEd? Millions of kids will fall through the cracks. As a state, we’re filthy rich. If we won’t use that $$ to serve kids & work to ensure their futures, who are we as a state or a people?

As a last resort, 3? days before deadline, the Tx Senate attached an ESA Amendment onto the much more popular HB100 PUBLIC Schools Funding & CHOPPED the $$$$ for PubEd to $$, before returning to H

Further proof the ACLU doesn't know what they're talking about.

Dan Patrick Angela Maier Paxton please pass as-is with no amendments! 🙏

Did you know the Legislative Budget Board estimates PubEd funding for districts like Edgewood ISD is equivalent to 2014 levels when adjusted for inflation? Schools don’t get to pay 2014 prices. The state has money to . We need relief.

I’m so confused why the future of education is being used as a bargaining chip.
It doesn’t matter which side of the isle you are on we need to realize that we are raising 5.4 million (kids in ) future voters and our future workforce. This is not a time to play games

Dade Phelan It's not 'new dollars' being injected into PubEd. The amt that truly dictates what a district can keep (basic allotment) is only a $50⬆️in the Senate sub for HB100. It's a balancing of current funding; it is not a meaningful NEW investment into public eduction. Fully Fund !
