IMO.. The Intel Arc GPU has been an epic failure. Intel Optane is an epic failure as well. Between hardware delays & driver issues, it has led to Intel failures in the GPU market. It's a loss for Intel & probably need to stop trying to compete with AMD & NVIDIA in the GPU market.

The new #homelab server build has begun. Stuffed with a Supermicro board, 6 x @Intel #Optane drives, 512GB RAM, and a Xeon 6252 24-core CPU. I'll be testing some nested VMware #vSphere virtualization with vSAN ESA soon.

It's unfortunate that Intel has discontinued the development of 3D Crosspoint memory aka Intel Optane.

They touted a 10 times access latency penalty instead of the 10,000 times access latency penalty of NAND Storage.

That's a 1,000 times improvement in access latency.
