Today in 1984, the Indian Army planted Tiranga on Siachen!

The remains of L/Naik Chandra Shekhar Harbol from Uttarakhand who went missing in #Siachen in 1984, have been found 38 years later at the world’s highest battlefield.
His regiment was part of #OpMeghdoot to prevent Pakistan from capturing strategic areas in the Siachen glacier

Today, we honour and remember #Braveheart Captain Pratap Singh #MahaVirChakra (P) of 75 Medium Regiment who laid down his life during #OpMeghdoot on 26 May 1988 while eliminating a grave threat to a key post in #Siachen . The nation will never forget his bravery and sacrifice.

Forty years on, eternal gratitude to our Armed Forces personnel who have been deployed on the highest battlefield and guarding it🙏🙏
