In this last #EPplenary week, MEPs secured their hasty position on #NGTs . It is now up to MS in Council to have those urgently needed thorough discussions & ensure traceability & national coexistence measures to protect freedom of farmers & food producers not to use NGTs.

The difference I experienced going from UHB (shock) to a gen med job at Frimley Park where nurses and HCAs helped with cannulas/ NGTs/ bloods… life changing honestly. Also just a generally better working relationship between doctors and nurses, making a tough job enjoyable.

Tomorrow, #EPplenary will vote to solidify the EP position on #NGTs proposal. Whilst European Parliament acknowledges issues of deregulations, it doesn't provide solutions for patents, biosafety & coexistence measures for all NGTs. Too many significant issues still remain unresolved.

🌱 It wants consumers, farmers, food producers & retailers to be able to continue to recognise products produced using #NGTs .

We will vote against, same reason as last time, notably because the part on biosafety is appalling
