30: What is your least favorite part of your magic system?

Probably the ability to convert states of matter. I needed it for some of the plot points to work, but I have to kind of gloss over how a seatamer can change a solid into a liquid without sensing solids. 🤷🏼‍♂️

(March is going to be busy with all of these prompts!)
The most consequences come from the magic of Tethers. They harness the magic of the Maelstrom without a saint to dampen its effects and so quickly become corrupted both physically and mentally, with many dying ⬇️

Day 2:
Aside from following the edicts of their saints, there is only one law for Hagi. A Hagi circle must have between 6-12 members at any given time. This is to keep the balance of the magic in that area and prevent any one circle from becoming too powerful.

I would love to have my world's magic, although, I won't be doing any sacred chants, ever.

Besides, it's a lot more accessible than it's real life counterpart.

Day 3:
Hagi are well loved by most and in fact most people in power are Hagi themselves. Oerents are approached with caution, as their magic is a bit unpredictable and much more volatile. Tethers are hated by most and banished from cities.

Seeing people performing magic is uncommon outside of academies.

A lot of people don't have the mental capacity or the patience to learn Base 7 Sphere Magic, so it's almost rare to see.

Day 24: Are there any magic-less creatures or characters?

Yes! A little over half of the standing population doesn't have magic, and there are some non-magic animals, too ✨️

Day 31: The Finale
My Magic system allows sorcerers to manifest and control a special type of energy called Mana and to rewrite reality through Mana to manifest, manipulate or destroy matter and energy. They can also cheat death and create life through it.

Day 1
In the early days of it's reemergence, Origin magic proves hard to use because it can only be tapped into via bleeding wounds.

It takes several years for the tribes' connection to rebuild itself to the point they can use it without a need to cut themselves.

Day 27: In what way is magic most often used?

In WardenWIP, magic is often used in terms of defense from wild beasts that live outside of the inhabited cities 👀

If Mercrucious had the discipline to learn magic, he would incorporate it into his whip martial arts.

Maybe he'd use elementals to enchant his weapon, or use magic to help him hunt monsters.

The magic is not that hard to control but because the gods give them almost no guidance, they struggle for a lot of book 1.
Nothing like going off to battle when you still can’t fully figure out your powers 😂

Day 27 & 28
(1/2)
- Day 27: Alchemy is most often used in industrial production, though its transmutation magic is technically applied whenever any device incorporating carmot (guns, radios, automobiles) is used.

The difficulty of control depends on the level of magic the user wishes to perform.

High level magic requires crushing the prerequisite mana sphere(s), then using that surging energy quickly before that power destroys their body.

Day 26: The entire plot of my WIP is actually built around this. The protagonist faction lost much of their magical power to a curse a generation ago, and now they are working hard to undo the curse and claim the power that is rightfully theirs.

My favorite part about my magic system, is it's logically realistic enough to almost be based in reality.

For all anyone knows, it could've been loosely based on the 72 levels of Mo Pai.

Day 25: How does magic affect the world?

Well. When a Warden dies, the metal they discover goes extinct except for in one hidden place. It must be rediscovered by a new candidate, but oftentimes, the call to a missing metal is innate.
