Marazion Marsh this morning: a smart Great White Egret at the front of the marsh. Given the dark bill colour and absence of the last GWE, I’m thinking this is a new bird in?

Plus a Yellow Wagtail and 60+ Sand Martin.

Lots of Hirundines over the reed beds at RSPB Marazion Marsh early this morning, they were putting on a great show and three Swallows even stopped for a breather in front of me!

Looks like giant sandcastle building as the channel for landing at Chapel Rock has to be re dug after the sand filling effect of recent storms.

Noticed these granite boundary markers. New since we last strolled this stretch of the coast path, in February. And the stile has returned. It was always a perching place for our sons, nearly 30 years ago.
