Seems like the foothills and mountains have been lightning central this week, and that continues this morning. Lots of strikes with these storms moving into western Maine, get ready to head indoors as these roll through!

Nothing teaches you patience like April/May in New England, espeically at the coast. Only around 50 in Maine today, but warmth is sooooo close... and yet so far. 😭😭 70s and sun today in Boston, 80s in southern New England!

Man this really turned into a not very nice Sunday. Second round of thunderstorms of the day now pushing south out of the mountains.

Can't take the firefighter out of me. Class 2 Fire Danger day so did a couple small vegetation controlled burns which is good for these flower beds. Light winds and the very dry fuels allowed for a good quick burn.

Oh come on Bangor Daily News... Very poorly worded headline. It's a 50-60% chance of being above normal. '50 to 60 percent higher than average' would suggest Bangor daily highs this summer of 121-130°F?!?! Seriously 🙄
