Our Ladybirds of Ireland dataset has recently been updated with over 500 records from Don Cotton's collection of records. Don Cotton was a phenomenal ecologist and natural historian and we're delighted that his records will help to inform our #LadybirdAtlas2025 project.

The validated December data has been added to Biodiversity Maps along with records for inconspicuous ladybird species from across Q4 of 2024. The dataset now has 18,597 across 34 species as we enter our final field season for the #LadybirdAtlas2025 project.

Our Ladybirds of Ireland dataset has recently been updated with data from November and the second round of our #LadybirdAtlas2025 surveys. The dataset now has 18,492 across 34 species, which is a great position to be in going into the final year of fieldwork.
