#GlasgowRP spotted this car parked on a crossing earlier. Some would say this is minor stuff, but the driver’s actions severely impact the “safe space” that the crossing provides; especially for vulnerable pedestrians such as children.

A number of vehicles were stopped for a range of offences, including drug driving, no licence and insurance. One driver was arrested and six others walked home.

#GlasgowRP were aware that this stolen van was being driven across the region on 'cloned' plates. We spotted it earlier today on the #A737 where we safely stopped the vehicle using tactics to avoid a pursuit and arrested the driver

This driver drew attention to themselves when they passed #GlasgowRP on the #M8 near #Bargeddie . Sitting in lane 3 for no reason for over 2 miles is not how to drive on motorways. Driver was stopped & issued a #COFPN for Careless/Inconsiderate Driving. 3 points and £100 fine.
#GlasgowRP were in Paisley earlier when they stopped these vehicles in quick succession. Both drivers now face a fine and points on their licence. As a driver, you are responsible for:

They tried to lie about who they are, however, didn't fool our officers. They were arrested and given a #RoomWithNoView for the weekend

Officers from #GlasgowRP conducted a light/heavy goods vehicle check today on #Renfrew Road , #Renfrew . Drivers hour offences detected, one vehicle found with the trailer brakes malfunctioning and one suspected overweight, in amongst a number of other offences.
#GlasgowRP were carrying out a speed check on the southside earlier when this driver failed to stop, he was pursued around the southside before giving himself up and ending up in a #RoomWithNoView for the night.

Yet another Volvo Car UK variant seen at #GlasgowRP was this V90 Cross Country. One of a few based there. I do like the look of the Cross Country I must admit, a vast improvement on the previous XC70 in my opinion. The his ones slightly different with a “unique” front end livery😉

Officers from #GlasgowRP conducted a road check this morning for vehicles roadworthiness. 23 vehicles stopped -
1x stolen van
2x no insurance
1x no licence to drive
1x tyre below the legal limit
And numerous other defects.
Check your car is roadworthy before setting off!
