We went for a walk from Garrigill to Ashgill Force. It was not as shaded as we would have liked and we had to walk through an awful lot of sheep fields. I was a good girl of course, even when being hefted over stone walls

In 1905 a new east window was installed in St Mary's Church. The old window (pictured here) was offered to the parish of All Saints in Ipswich. This proved unsuitable and the window, depicting the crucifixion, found its way to Garrigill in Cumbria and installed there.
