The Equal Pay Act was passed in 1975 - yet the persists to this day. At current rates it will take well over 100 years to close it.

It doesn't have to be this way. The problem is a crisis of imagination and competence in politics.

Twitter for iPhone : The Equal Pay Act came into force over 50 years ago, but women still earn less than men in Britain today. The current gender pay gap (11.9%) means that women effectively stop earning relative to men from 18th Nov 2021 and millions are now effectively working for free
