Pell Grants are critical in helping students meet their basic needs. The purchasing power of awards have continued to erode in recent decades however, threatening student success. We urge Congress to double the Pell to $13,000 to meet the true cost of college.

Another reason to #DoublePell is that Pell recipients literally do not have the resources to get to and through college comfortably. Providing need-based financial aid is nice; providing financial aid that meets students’ needs is better.
