As a #Diabetic I require a #CGM but #libre3 & #DexcomG7 aren't covered by BCBSIL. When I asked why, they said that Prime Therapeutics denied me because I am not taking currently #insulin . But Jardiance® (empagliflozin) tablets 10 mg/25 mg drops my #glucose dangerously low. This puts my life in danger. I'm Type 1.5 #LADA

Ok. New to dexcom g7. I've had it in for about 30 hours now.

It is reading about 30 mg/dl high pretty consistently.

Will this self-correct? Do I need to calibrate?

Received a boilerplate letter from my ins. co. today informing me of the benefits of using a CGM for a #type1diabetic .

That would be the same insurance company that has forced me to go a week without a CGM because they don't cover the Dexcom G7.

I’ve been on hold for two hours (2:04:41 on the phone timer right now) trying to find out what to do when my Dexcom G7 fails after telling me I was going low for five hours. They told me the wait time was 65 minutes so I settled in for a wait. #dexcom g7 #dexcom

💡 UPD: 3 days later, I finally managed to sort out the issue with the Dexcom G7 sensor - I’d been getting a notification that I’m in the location not supported by Dexcom 😂

Wheee. Just got off the phone with my specialist pharma that's handling the Dexcom G7 stuff, and, insurance is paying 100%!

So that's one less thing to worry about (Two, if you count the fact that it keeps me honest about my diet XD)

Since I went g7 I have been wearing these, they do similar for g6. Regularly get 10 days!

Although warm weather seems to be killing g7's. Had two die in as many weeks.

Now three weeks later I'm still dealing with Aetna and CVS Health trying to get this resolved. They are great at pointing fingers at the Dr. or Pharmacy techs but awful at handling their internal coordination. I just sent an email to Karen Lynch, CEO of CVS Health. 🙄

Any Dexcom G7 users out there finding it difficult to fit the applicator in a sharps box. The middle part with needle pulls from the outer shell quite easily allowing to dispose more efficiently. Also, there’s a tiny but very strong magnet on top that pops out. #Diabetes

Anyone thinking of getting the Dexcom G7 - don’t bother. It’s not at all fit for purpose. When my 10 year old’s phone was alerting me to an urgent low earlier he was in reality 8.1. The inaccuracy is in addition to the burnt patches of skin all over his body 😡 #dexcomg7
