59 active conflicts were observed in the #Americas in 2021. Overall, 5 limited #wars were fought, taking place in Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil. The war in #Brazil on drug trafficking organizations de-escalated to a limited war.

Global conflict panorama of the #CoBa2021 : The number of #wars decreased from 21 to 20 while the number of limited wars increased from 19 to 20. A total of 355 #conflicts were observed worldwide, of which 60%, 204, were fought violently, while 151
were on a non-violent level.

I'm glad to have contributed to 30th Conflict Barometer with a wonderful team at
HIIK. #CoBa2021 : A total of 355 #conflicts were observed worldwide, violent & non-violent level.
Tried to measure #Pluralism in diverse societies through #Peacebuilding & #Conflict_Resolution .

HIIK observed 20 #wars in 2021, one less than in 2020. This was the 2nd highest number of wars ever documented by HIIK.
6 conflicts escalated to full-scale wars, 5 of them in #SubSaharanAfrica and one in #Asia and Oceania.
