From Friday June 11th a network of street around #CapelStreet will be traffic free for weekend evenings. A stone's throw from Phibsborough, and a calm route to get there, most of the way.
I joined the #CapelStreet workshop earlier this week, involving residents, businesses and other interested parties. Lots of ideas, interesting suggestions and inspiration from other cities like #Boston & #Barcelona . Feedback and draft proposals to be worked on… 1/2

Dumping the cars means we can finally hear ourselves think, breathe and admire the terraces on #CapelStreet .
Some trees would be great to see. And while the terraces are welcome, if underused, some public seats are needed too.
A shopfront initiative is also planned.
