I'm looking at the audit challenge for CCIP that #chainlink released, and I see this for gas fees. I'm not sure if $LINK will exclusively be used for CCIP. It seems the contract sums up the value of the transfer, finds an appropriate fee, and converts it to the native gas token.

This should be considered speculation (first post is mine), but I am struggling to see why it isn't heading this way more or less over time (not immediately on #CCIP release - and staking 1.0 would accelerate this dynamic). Let me know if you have any thoughts. #Chainlink $LINK

Looks like LinkyLeaks was right. Chainlink staking Code4rena audit was one month before it was released on December 6th.

Staking Audit was Nov 1st-15th...release 31 days later

The #CCIP audit is May 26th to June 12th.

Release 31 days later would be July 13th, 2023
