Scarborough today and was pleasantly surprised to find a large colony of Kittiwakes nesting on the cliffs along Marine Drive. Awesome sound and sight. Plenty of Guillemots passing offshore with a bonus pair of Bottlenose Dolphin too. NorthYorksBirdNews

Northern bottlenose whale is my favorite Cetacean.
They remind me so much of extinct macroraptorial Sperm whales, but toothless.

Amazing migrant day on the reserve at Gibraltar Point as personally good numbers of Swallow (13), Sand Martin (9) and House Martin (2) all flew south. Coupled with 2 Little Gull and 6 Common Scoter south over sea, a bottlenose dolphin and a probable male Blue Headed Wag… Corrr!

This video was taken in Jan, 2024 above Dolphinaris Riviera Maya, Mexico. Ahitzi, a 26 year old male bottlenose dolphin can be seen living alone in solitary confinement. An employee shares details of Ahitzi’s horrible 1999 capture from the wild and his subsequent fear of humans.

We were very lucky to be able to watch a couple of bottlenose dolphins hunting in shallow waters just off the beach this morning. What an unexpected treat!

A small Dolphin skull - not sure which species, but Bottlenose (Tursiops truncatus) and Common dolphins (Delphinus delphis) are the most common in our waters.

And when they interact with bottlenose dolphins, well, there's no comparison, they take the scene.

I started #DolphinAwarenessMonth with a Caribbean bottlenose dolphin, so I’m finishing it off with another bottlenose from the Atlantic, a Moray Firth bottlenose to be specific. Would love to see these giants someday.
