Dr. Saharla Bahdoon who hails from the Awbarre district is the first Somali to win a federal seat in Addis Ababa. Today she is the State Minister of Health and a Federal MP, representing Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

Delegation headed by President Mustafe pay a visit to the farms of Haroorays and Awbarre districts. Crops from more than 4,000 hectares in Faafan Zone will be purchased by SRS agriculture bureau to help in their mission to strengthen food security.
