There's legislation in California to shorten the workweek from 40 hours to 32 hours without a reduction in pay, which would be the most transformative labor legislation in our generation, and it should be bigger news... but it barely made a headline.

Would a 32 hour work week really make people’s life better? On my current contract I work about 50 hours a week on average. I don’t know what the hell I would do with another 18 free hours. I don’t sleep, and I don’t go out much as it is. I would probably go nuts.
