The system charges only 2% of officers who kill people with a crime. But even when they get charged, officers are STILL treated more leniently than civilians by the criminal legal system. At every level, the system works to protect and enable police violence.

We'll have guests from local and national organizations to facilitate conversations relevant to the issues they’re exploring as well as technical workshops. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their final projects to the community.

This program is run by Fab-5with support from the Lifelong Kindergarten Research group at the MIT Media Lab, funded by Tacoma Creates, and hosted by Tacoma Public Library.
