This is a lovely sentiment, but it might be considered littering if you leave it there. If there's a community posting board somewhere, that is an option for leaving one, however. I might just decide to make one and wear it instead.

It's OK to say you "survived" enlistment. You "survive" the death of people you love in similar ways. Their lives ceased/changed and yours just had to go on. And all the struggle in the continuing is part of surviving. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

My anxiety is so high right now, you guys. It's been a rough few days with preparations literally falling apart. It's like the universe is saying I have made a big mistake by going on this trip. I know it's catastrophizing and it's just anxiety but man...it sucks.
