The first day of fall is tomorrow, but this past week really felt like it had come early. Nights dropped into the 40s. Fog often didn't burn off until almost noon. A sea breeze kicked up each afternoon. After what has been a pretty toasty summer, it was welcome... and beautiful.

This stunning photo was taken by Vineyard Manager Jordy Lonborg at 4am Wednesday. That's the nearly-full moon behind some high clouds, with the stacks of empty picking bins in the foreground. There are moments of beauty every day out here. At this time of year, most nights, too.
