Players I would fade at Augusta. Hideki: Iron play and putting have been down last three starts. Niemann: No top 15s in majors and has a lower ball flight than the average Masters winner. Aberg: MC his last two starts. Sergio: MC 5/6 trips to Augusta since winning in 2017.

The leaders in the first round at The Masters in each major stats category were.. Off The Tee: Ludvig Aberg (+2.08 -4) Approach: Matt McCarthy (+3.64 -1) Chipping: Maverick McNealy (+2.98 E) Putting: Justin Rose (+5.26 -7)

Augusta will expose a player's weaknesses, especially when the tournament intensifies. The favorites are all struggling with one aspect of their game and will need to monitor. Rose: 41st in Driving Dechambeau: 30th in Approach Rory: 42nd in Chipping Scheffler: 24th in Driving

Holes 4-6 will be extremely important for the leaders to navigate. Currently playing almost a combined full shot over par, you could see a lot of volatility on this stretch!

This is exactly what the game of golf needed. Too many storylines to track in what is hopefully a duel for the ages. Cheers to greatness happening in front of our eyes!! 🥂🌸

My one and done pick for the RBC Heritage will be Patrick Cantlay. He has finished inside the top three 5/7 trips to Harbour Town (without a win which is crazy) and has gained shots approach in his last six events of 2025. Only concern is he has not been chipping well this year.

The leaders in the first round at the RBC Heritage in each major stats category were.. Off The Tee: Patrick Cantlay (+1.91 T10) Approach: Scottie Scheffler (+4.55 T2) Chipping: Brian Harman (+2.97 T5) Putting: Russell Henley (+3.04 T2)
