[Plz RT] Our lab is looking for Research Assistant and Postdoc Researcher! We focus on developing and applying innovative optical molecular technologies to investigate neural circuits underlying maladaptive social behaviors. wustl.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/External… wustl.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/External…
It is really happening! Today I started as a junior group leader at the IPNP Inserm Paris 5 Ipnp in Paris. I'm super excited to set up the lab and get working building microscopes and uncovering the mysteries of zebrafish spinal cords with voltage imaging.
Thank you, Sara Miller, for featuring our research in NoCamels - Israeli Tech and Innovation News!
Can whole-brain imaging of cellular c-Fos signals be used for #psychedelics drug discovery? This was a project led by Farid Aboharb and Pasha Davoudian, where they tested a panel of drugs and developed a machine learning pipeline to classify. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Happy to announce that our paper on PdCO is finally out Nature Methods - check out this great tutorial by the awesome Jonas Wietek :
Sound localization by fish was long considered physically impossible, until it was shown behaviorally. How do they do it? Johannes Veith, Thomas Chaigne and team dove into this question with Danionella cerebrum. nature.com/articles/s4158… [1/11]
Thank you very much for organizing this great symposium and allowing a serotonin guy like me to speak! Lora B. Sweeney Rune W. Berg Graziana Gatto Julien Bouvier Maarten Zwart
The program is shaping up for #GRCPsychedelics - An exciting lineup of basic and clinical researchers. 🧠🍄 Save the date 7/13-7/18/2025 🗓️ Vlad Vyazovskiy Vidita Vaidya Dr Melissa Herman
I'm excited to announce that starting October 2024, I'll be opening a lab at the Technion Faculty of Biology! Biology Technion We will study the role of unique cell types in visual behaviors in zebrafish, using genetic tools, imaging, and behavioral approaches.
Now in press at ACSChemNeurosci – our study about psilocybin’s effect on fear extinction. 🍄🐭⚡ pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac… Proud of the systematic work by Sam Woodburn, where we tested how the behavioral effects depend on dose, timing, serotonin receptors.
Thank you, Baier Lab MPI for Biological Intelligence Fabian Svara , for the workshop and joint lab retreat. We learned a lot and are looking forward to pushing the frontiers together. And thanks for the beautiful poster design.
Our paper📝“Top-down modulation of the retinal code via histaminergic neurons of the hypothalamus” is now available in Science Advances! Dive in to find out how histaminergic neurons in the brain🧠modulate activity of retinal neurons in mice🐭and humans😎. doi.org/10.1126/sciadv…
Johannes Kappel and I are happy to share our preprint! We discovered that visual responses and morphology are co-determined by both the neuron's transcriptional profile and positional cues. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Excited to post a new preprint, work by Takashi Kawashima, Ziqiang Wei 魏 子强 and collaborators: Voltage imaging reveals circuit computations in the raphe underlying serotonin-mediated motor vigor learning biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
And, at the same time with the one below, our group is excited to share another manuscript on the global and compartmentalized neuromodulation by the serotonin system in collaboration with Baier Lab MPI for Biological Intelligence biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
We’re seeking a postdoc/student excited about animal communication, brain-wide circuits, microscopy, singing fish (Danionella), wacky ideas and who likes to: get things done, experiment, analyse, ask, learn, help and cooperate. jlab.berlin Please RT
