Nobody broke it down for me, I had to learn the hard way. Still learning. You can have over 50 stacks sitting in a bank account, and still get denied on a mortgage loan. Why? Because it's all about your credit score, not about how much you can provide as a downpayment.

So let me educate young adults who are just graduating high school. Build up your credit rating, if necessary get a secured loan, or a secured credit card line. Make those monthly payments.

I'm learning, the hard way. I don't understand why I get rejected when I try to purchase a home as a first time buyer, knowing I can provide at least 50 stacks for a downpayment.

It's about my credit score, because nobody broke it down for me as a young adult and explained the importance of establishing a credit history.

Nevermind the fact that bills get paid every week or month, some of those bills don't get reported to the credit agencies like equifax. The system is f ing messed up bro, for real.

Rent paid up to July 1st, f what the banks talkin bout, I handle my business, always pay my bills, and if not on time, it's because I was dealing with some other b.s.

I guess it's meant for me to leave that 50 plus stacks in a savings account and collect interest, while I build up my credit score.

Car note? Only reason I was two months behind is because I was attacked on the job. Police report was filed. That was over 2 years ago.

Matthew Boicourt (@syssecserv) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Bottom line, banks and lenders don't really gaf about the hardships, trials and tribulations you've been through to get to this point.

Could have paid the remaining 8 plus stacks on the other car, but someone suggested I not do that, to keep my credit score active.

At this point in the journey, knowing I have 50 plus stacks chilling in my savings account and my new (relatively) car has been paid for, I really don't know what else to do, except wait and keep paying monthly expenses, and build up my credit score.
