The first time I visited Rauðasandur in NW #Iceland I got the timing wrong & the tide was high. You really need to visit when the tide is low to see the extent of the swirls. As I drove up the switchbacks on my way out the tide finally turned. A little ICM from Sept 2017.

Every time I post a Kei Trucks some guy is like “you won’t like those gay little trucks when you get pancaked on a highway” and yeah less than ideal but I was just on an island where the roads were all tiny switchbacks and basically every other vehicle was a Suzuki Jimny.

Despite driving the switchbacks like a Formula 1 driver, the sun set before I could reach the top of the cliff. Darn it! Still beautiful, though!
