In our new paper in New Phytologist, we suggest that the possibility of non-water-saturated air spaces in #leaves should not be overlooked in measurements related to leaf gas exchange and in stomatal models, especially at high #VPD: nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/np…

I'm very happy that this study got published! The adverse impact of VPD on leaf gas exchange seems to have been overestimated because the unsaturation of intercellular air spaces is not considered.
