As you may have heard, “The Thing” has been added to the Library of Congress. We made the movie to push against the edges of what we could pull off, and it carries that strain in its bones. Seeing it now treated with the same care and reverence we had making it means a great deal

A couple of miles along quiet Glen Mark, you'll find this strange stone Monument known as the Queen's Well. This giant crown was built to commemorate a visit by Queen Victoria in 1861 after she stopped to drink what she described as incredibly pure water from the White Well.

This is the tomb of James Douglas in St Bride's in Douglas. Known as the Good Sir James to his friends and the Black Douglas to his enemies! History remembers him as one of Robert the Bruce's right-hand men and an important leader during the Scottish Wars of Independence.

The Blue Men of the Minch hide in the strait between the Outer Hebrides & mainland Scotland. They are fierce kelpies of the deep who conjure storms. Legend says they shout a line of poetry to passing ships. If the captain can’t finish the rhyme, their ship is dragged under ⚓️☠️

An adventure doesn’t have to be a months-long excursion. According to #NatGeo33 changemaker Ewan McGregor, it can be as simple as getting out and seeing what the world has to offer beyond our screens. See the full list: on.natgeo.com/tZLMZ4
