Thank you Tara Myers and Allison Bernier Hastings for all of the great ideas to increase student engagement! #CFISDDLC Cypress-Fairbanks ISD CyFair ISD EdTech

It’s official! Today, I submitted the paperwork to run for re-election for the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Board of Trustees, Position #2. With dedication, enthusiasm, & gratitude, I’m ready and excited to continue serving our community! ❤️🚌📚✏️

Hi teachers! To celebrate the upcoming release of our newest graphic novel, I'm giving away 5 signed copies. Retweet to enter. I'll contact winners by DM on September 5. Scholastic More giveaways soon. LOTS happening in the I Survived world this year!

Here in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, our district expenses for Special Education services last year was $126M but the state only compensated for $80M…underfunding by $46M. The state needs to meet its moral and legal obligations to our students & families. Greg Abbott Dade Phelan #txed #txlege

Thank you @SuptMarkHenry and Teresa Hull for stopping by to visit! #SwenkeProud #CFISDSpirit

In Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, our school safety costs are $43M (includes CFISD PD and mental health initiatives). Our state school safety allotment is $2M. The difference comes out of our operating budget and contributes to the deficit. Just one example of #UnfundedMandates

Heartbroken and angry doesn’t even begin to explain how I’m feeling. Shame on you, Greg Abbott, for withholding surplus funds that could have prevented this.

Thank you Cypress-Fairbanks ISD teachers! Please elevate your voices too. Last year, it was library books. Last month, it was Librarians. This week, it is science books. Next time, it might be social studies. Teachers are parents, taxpayers, stakeholders too! Use your voices/votes!
