The second in the trilogy was WASTELAND which explored what happened to the families who survived the Miners’ Strike and as one generation ground to a halt and the next generation headed into the illegal rave scene of 1990s.

Their work is built around significant events in working-class social history, politics & culture. Gary has been working on a trilogy, his first full length theatre show was COAL which marked the 30th anniversary of the end of the 1984/85 Miners’ strike.

Based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and co-founded and led by Artistic Director Gary Clarke and Executive Producer Annabel Dunbar, they are a pioneering, award-winning dance theatre company who work with professional artists, working class and marginalised people.
