Don't drop your old batteries in the recycling bin! Batteries are NOT recyclable. However, you can take them to the Household Hazardous Waste facility to safely dispose of them.

Summer barbecues and cookouts are in full swing! If you have old unburned charcoal that you need to get rid of, bring it into the Household Hazardous Waste facility. Otherwise, you can simply toss out your charcoal once it has cooled for up to 48 hours.

Thursday, July 27 – 4th Thursday and 4th Friday routes may be delayed by one to two work days, but all delayed collections should be complete by Monday, July 31. PLEASE GO AHEAD AND PLACE YOUR CART OUT ON YOUR REGULAR COLLECTION DAY.

Monday, July 31 – Collections are taking place on 4th Thursday and 4th Friday routes and 3rd Thursday reported missed routes. Any reported misses are being collected as quickly as possible. Tomorrow – 1st Tuesday routes will begin, so please have your carts out by 7:00 a.m.

Don't forget that wide mouth plastic containers like sour cream, yogurt, or margarine are not recyclable in your cart! Instead, try rinsing and reusing them for food storage! #ThrowItAwayThursday

Monday, August 7th – ONE DAY DELAY – Collecting 1st Friday routes today, and will start 1st Monday tomorrow. Place carts out for collection on your normal collection day. Report misses greater than 2 days via email to [email protected].

We see this one a lot! All of your recyclables should be placed loose in your cart. Don't bag them up!

Thursday, August 31st – No scheduled routes today. Reported misses are being collected as quickly as possible. Tomorrow - Friday, September 1st - First Friday routes.

September 1, 2023 - 1st Friday is this upcoming Friday and will run on a regular schedule. For next week, 1st Tuesday through 1st Thursday AND 2nd Friday collections, there will be on a ONE DAY DELAY due to the Labor Day holiday. (NO ROUTES RUNNING on Labor Day, September 4)

Your aerosol cans are NOT recyclable in your blue cart! Bring them to one of our Household Hazardous Waste collection events!

Don't forget to check your recycling schedule and make sure your lid is closed to prevent water from getting into your cart. Thank you!
